This last week has been a crazy week here in New Jersey. Yesterday we celebrated my daughter’s third birthday by inviting 8 friends over to paint pumpkins. Needless to say, there was a lot of preparation going on. The party was from 11-1, so it involved feeding our friends lunch. And since it was a pumpkin theme, there was bread to be cut into pumpkin shapes. Jello jigglers to be molded into pumpkins. Homemade cupcakes to resemble pumpkins. Well, you get the picture!
Sadly, I have nothing to offer for Make It Monday. I (stupidly?) thought I’d whip up this orange shrimp dish Sunday night. Yeah, I was a little tired from the day (oh, and did I mention we were doggie sitting a neighbors 2 Shih-Tzu’s on top of our own?) Point is, it didn’t happen.
On top of all that, we’ve been squeezing in day trips with a good friend who is leaving New Jersey on November 1. That meant a Pumpkinfest in Vernon, NJ on Monday and a trip to the Crayola Factory in Easton, PA on Friday. And then our normal life filled in the week. Whew!
We pledge to be more on top of things this week…despite the fact that we have a field trip today, school pictures tomorrow, first dentist visit Wed and my running a Bean Sprouts Halloween party for our lake. I can’t wait for October to be over!! It’s too crazy!
We’ll be posting soon about an interesting website we read about. Staaaaaaaaaay tuned!
