The Frog Prince 7/16
In this play, a prince is turned into a frog by a wicked fairy. Only his true love can help him to break the enchanted spell and turn him back into a human. Also July 17, 18, and 23-25. Fee: $5 per person.  Open Air Theatre at Washington Crossing, Titusville, NJ, 11 am

WII Games Summer Competition 2010  7/16
Get up off the couch for the first-ever nationwide Wii video game tournament. Families who aren’t competing in the tournament can participate in noncompetitive demos and sample other Wii games. Also July 17 and 18. Free. Liberty State Park’s South Lawn, Jersey City, NJ, all ages, Fri. 11 am-6 pm; Sat. and Sun. 10 am-6 pm

8th Annual New Jersey State Ice Cream Festival 7/17

Who’s got the best ice cream around? Head to this fun-filled family day to sample ice cream and vote for your favorite. Play games, go on rides, watch eating contests, and more. Tasting kits are $7 each.  Downtown Toms River, Toms River, NJ, all ages, 11:30 am-5 pm
